The Grenfell Tower disaster exposed failings and contributing factors from across the property sector. The focus now should be on bringing UK housing to a better place, and learning from previous mistakes.

Many of our clients are caught up in the cladding crisis. The government’s response so far has been slow and hugely disappointing for many. So our latest report brings together expertise and experience from across the industry, to offer support and guidance to those who need it most.

We’ve laid out a 10 point plan of recommendations that we believe will help the government and industry to move forward. We cover some of the key issues caused by the cladding crisis and review the lessons learnt from Grenfell, which will help us to start conversations with new and existing clients, and demonstrate thought leadership in this area.

The report also considers:

•Where we are now in dealing with the impacts
•How it’s affected different groups of people
•How the sector can move forward towards brighter days.

Our latest report supports our recent cladding virtual event, where we had over 450 sign-ups and over 280 guests attended. If you missed it, watch it here.

The report was created in-house by our marketing team, with the support of Knowledge Management and insight from our legal experts, Jeremy Raj, Claire-Petricca-Riding and Mark Clinton. We also joined forces with three special guests from across the industry, who will also be helping to share the report to maximise our reach and target our key audiences:

•Brendan Geraghty, an architect from Centred Architecture
•Simon Allison, a barrister from Landmark Chambers
•Eyvind Andresen, head of legal and portfolio services at HomeGround Management.

As part of our launch activity we’re:

•Publishing it to Twitter and LinkedIn with an animated graphic
•Running social media advertising
•Emailing the report to our key contacts (attached)
•Promoting the report across our website
•Speaking with our press contacts who may cover the report.
We’re also launching a cladding podcast in April, which will focus on service charges, the practical implications of conveyancing, and EWS1 certificates.
